Women's Health

Whether you are actively trying to have a baby or preparing for the future, it’s not too early to start planning. For some women, getting your body ready for pregnancy takes weeks, for others, it can take years. For everyone, it’s important to be equipped, both mentally and physically, for what’s to come.

Dr. Hayley Miller, Resident ObGyn at Stanford Medicine, joined this GLOW session to share insights into the most pressing issues in women’s health. From preparing to become pregnant to egg freezing and fertility, infertility, miscarriage, and recovery, and the impact current policies and politics are having on women’s health rights, Hayley dove into a range of topics for how we can best prepare for what’s to come.

Hayley is a 4th year Stanford ObGyn Resident Physician, joining the maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) Fellowship team in 2021. She works to integrate advocacy and social justice in the medical arena to improve health outcomes for women. Her focus is on maternal-fetal medicine and she aspires to ultimately lead a practice to integrate family planning services into the field of MFM. Prior to Stanford, Hayley studied Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley and completed medical school at Rush University Medical College in Chicago. In addition to starting Rush’s chapters of both Medical Students for Choice and White Coats for Black Lives, she has worked at a variety of nonprofits to help fight for women’s rights and advocate for underserved communities.
